CWSHA Members Meeting is at 6:00pm on Wednesday September 24th, Wednesday October 15th, Tuesday November 18th, and Thursday December 18th at Portage County Public Library.  All association members are encouraged to attend and are invited to participate in discussion and to vote on agenda items!

Community Mites Program!
Ages 5 – 8
November 17, 2008 – March 15, 2009
Before September 1st, 2008:
Fee: $165.00 plus $25.00 Zamboni Maintenance Fee
September 1st, 2008 or later:
Fee: $215.00 plus $25.00 Zamboni Maintenance Fee
Equipment Rental: $70.00 for the whole hockey season.
Free Rental Equipment for first year players
Consistent Practice Times.
Monthly game schedules.

Team Jerseys are supplied for each player to keep at the end of the season.


Community Mites:
Designed for Players that want to have fun and experience the fundamentals of the game. This program practices twice a week and enjoy playing 8 to 10 games a year. Fifty percent of the games will be at our hockey rink and the remaining games will be played at ice rinks close to our community. Tournaments are the responsibility of the coach and parents if they want to participate or not. The entry fee is the responsibility of the team .

At the end of the season, each player will be able to perform all of the skills listed below:
A. Proper skating stride- Forward.
B. Forward stop without falling.
C. Proper skating stride – backward.
D. Backward stop without falling.
E. Basic one blade balancing – forward.
F. Basic hockey position.
G. How to properly hold a hockey stick.
H. Basic puck control.
I. Basic passing techniques.
J. Introduction to the forehand wrist shot.
K. Introduction to offsides and icing rules.


Parent Involvement!
We request parent involvement during the hockey season and at fund raisers.
We do not require mandatory hours.
Our association is a fully volunteer family that keeps the rink and concession stand functioning.
